I am excited to

launch my new business where I can do what I love – help others be the best that they can be! The most exciting part of any role that I have held in my career has always been the tasks that allowed me to train, mentor, or help others learn and better their lives by improving the way they work.

Throughout my career, I have tried to change roles within the companies that I have worked for in order to learn and grow. In college, I started working in the accounting department for a manufacturing company. After college, I was happy to find a role at that company doing general ledger accounting and producing financial statements and analysis. I soon found myself leading the implementation of JDEdwards for the company which was really the stepping stone for my future interest in systems implementation and integration.

I also became interested in other areas of the business including the venture into real estate by the owners of the company. I was able to work through all the set up of the accounting as an owner of a high rise office tower for the first time including working with the banks on the monthly draws. I then set up software to manage the office building.

After almost 10 years at this company, an opportunity at a construction management company knocked on my door and I had to take it.

For the first 10 years there, I worked my way up in the finance department to the role of Director of Financial Reporting overseeing statutory accounting, management accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Then, I was able to move into a role working more directly with operations. Working with the project teams that built the buildings was the highlight of my career. I have so much respect and admiration for these teams.

Later, I worked with our Information Technology group upgrading JDE and integrating all the business units to one platform. In this role, I was able to utilize project management skills to lead these projects. Then, the time came with the company wanted to implement global systems and processes. I was a key lead in seeing this change through to fruition for the US group. This allowed me to develop and use key aspects of change management as well as continue to use my project management skills.

The year 2020 brought lots of challenges and changes for everyone. This year had a huge impact on me and my new change of direction. After 23 years at this company, God chose a different route for my future.

And so, I am here. It has been my dream to work with different people and different companies to utilize what I have learned to make others better. I am excited about this adventure and I look forward to the bright future ahead. I invite you to come on this journey with me by letting me be your extra hands and eyes to help you become your best!
